"Allen Jerkens, the master of the racing upset, the trainer who beat the great Secretariat in the Whitney exactly 20 years ago with a horse named Onion, considered the fate dealt to his star colt Devil His Due on the same Saratoga track, and said with regret: “He just wasn’t good enough today. he gave it a shot. He had no problems. Brunswick was just better today.””

We proudly welcomed Energetico's first foal into the world May 5, 2018. She is a half-sister to champion stakes mare, Smile Lee.
Stakes-placed winner Energetico, a 7-year-old son of Mutakddim—Another Moochie, by Southern Halo, has been retired from racing and will stand at Dunvegan Stud near Fairview, Alberta, for the 2018 breeding season.
Bred in Pennsylvania by Stud El Aguila, Energetico won his only start at 2 at Parx Racing. At 3, he competed primarily in allowance company and never finished off the board in five starts. His best performance came in the 2015 Caixa Eletronica Stakes at Aqueduct Racetrack, where he got collared in deep stretch and finished second to Doubledown Again.
Mutakddim, who died in 2014, has sired 119 black-type winners to date, of which 60 are graded/group winners. Energetico is also a half brother to multiple stakes-placed winner Don Tito (by Trippi) and will enter stud for an introductory fee of CAN$3,000.
